We are pleased to welcome

Dr. David Lord and his wife Kathryn as our Pastoral family.

Originally from western Massachusetts, David’s family moved to Florida. When he was 15, he accepted God’s call to the ministry while attending Methodist Youth Camp in Leesburg, FL. He has been preaching for over 50 years!

David has pastored in East Tennessee since 1993. He completed his undergrad work at Olivet Nazarene College, his MDiv from Candler School of Theology, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH. They are proud parents and grandparents!

The church family has ministered at several churches, including Second UMC, Bookwalter UMC, Lake City/Rocky Top, Fincastle, Valleyview, Rockwood, and New Salem. He is ordained in the Nazarene, United Methodist, and now Global Methodist Church.

David has also been very involved in music and has a wonderful voice with great harmony, which we enjoy hearing each Sunday as we sing our hymns. He has worked with youth in music throughout the years.
